• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend required, plus 1 weekday shift
• Floating: May float based on staffing needs within a designated group of nearby facilities
• On-Call: Not required
• Start Date: 09/28/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing or specialty experience required
• Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for micro preemies required
• Experience with high-frequency ventilation required
• Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact state at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred
• Open to first-time travelers, though prior travel nursing experience is preferred
• Willing to work every weekend and follow scheduling guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care for critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support care for micro preemies and infants requiring advanced respiratory support
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, family-centered care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established unit protocols
• Adapt quickly to unit needs and floating expectations as assigned
• Contribute to a calm, compassionate, and highly organized care environment
