Labor & Delivery RN travel job in Smyrna, Tennessee, just southeast of Nashville. If you have recent L&D nursing experience, current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification, this 13-week Women’s Services assignment offers a supportive, family-centered environment with collaborative OB care.

• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per month
• Setting: Women’s Services / Labor & Delivery

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring certification required
• Strong commitment to patient choice, safe care, and supporting vaginal birth opportunities when appropriate
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented maternity care environment
• Experience with spinning babies and STABLE is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Support individualized birth plans and family-centered maternity care
• Assist with circulating in the OR and related Labor & Delivery procedures
• Perform and support interventions such as IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management, JADA system use, and nitrous oxide administration
• Collaborate closely with midwives, CRNAs, and on-call OB providers
• Promote safe, high-quality outcomes while maintaining a calm and compassionate presence
• Float to mother-baby or assist outside the department as needed
