Travel ICU Registered Nurse needed in Yakima, Washington for a 17-week critical care nursing assignment with 12-hour nights, 36 guaranteed hours per week, and weekly pay of $2,130-$2,250.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
  • At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment completed
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience caring for ICU and telemetry patient populations
  • Comfort with chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, blood product administration, and monitoring femoral arterial sheaths
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with art lines, Impella, and/or IABP

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and skilled critical care nursing to ICU and telemetry patients
  • Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Care for patients with CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, CVA overflow, and post-cath needs
  • Administer and manage critical care drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin
  • Support patients receiving BiPAP, blood products, and post-procedure observation
  • Perform routine ICU interventions, including dressing changes and wound vac management
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Document accurately and communicate effectively using the EPIC EMR
