• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday; float pool assignment across PCU and MS/Tele acuity units

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• At least 6 months of acute care hospital nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• CCRN or PCCN preferred
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a float pool environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Stepdown, and MS/Tele settings
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards of practice
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond confidently to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with chest tubes and temporary pacing needs
• Assist with conscious sedation and advanced respiratory support modalities
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
• Advocate for patient safety, quality improvement, and compassionate clinical care
• Support patient and family education throughout the plan of care
• Maintain professionalism, clear communication, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced hospital environment
