• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,470 - $1,550
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; floating required
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Strong telemetry nursing experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• NIHSS preferred
• Previous experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work rotating support needs and adapt to unit floating
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, team-based acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to medical/surgical patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Manage telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias as needed
• Perform and support tracheostomy care and management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain thorough clinical records
• Support a patient ratio of 1:6 while maintaining strong time management and prioritization
• Float as assigned and contribute to team coverage needs
• Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and best practices in bedside nursing
