Job Details

  • Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern: Day shifts with weekend call rotation
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating schedule
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ASU/PACU, post-op recovery, or Critical Care setting
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for the assignment location
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • Current PALS certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic PACU and perioperative recovery environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
  • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall post-operative recovery
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesia and surgical teams to support seamless patient transitions
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and efficiently
  • Support discharge readiness and patient education as appropriate
  • Contribute to a calm, efficient, and compassionate recovery experience for every patient
