Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – ECMO Specialist Travel Nursing Job in Columbia, South Carolina

  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule: 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360-$2,480
  • Location: Columbia, SC 29203

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of ECMO Specialist experience with circuit management
  • ECMO training required
  • At least 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • 3+ years of CVICU or ICU experience preferred
  • Experience caring for patients on ECMO and other advanced cardiac support devices preferred
  • Ability to float to ICU-level units as needed
  • Strong critical care judgment, communication skills, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert bedside care for critically ill patients requiring ECMO support
  • Monitor and manage ECMO circuits and related equipment
  • Support patients with advanced circulatory and respiratory failure
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
  • Assist with invasive monitoring, hemodynamic support, and critical care interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
  • Float to qualified ICU units when needed based on patient care demands
  • Respond effectively to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced cardiac critical care environment
