- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6-week schedule
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360-$2,480
- Location: Columbia, SC 29203
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of ECMO Specialist experience with circuit management
- ECMO training required
- At least 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 3+ years of CVICU or ICU experience preferred
- Experience caring for patients on ECMO and other advanced cardiac support devices preferred
- Ability to float to ICU-level units as needed
- Strong critical care judgment, communication skills, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Provide expert bedside care for critically ill patients requiring ECMO support
- Monitor and manage ECMO circuits and related equipment
- Support patients with advanced circulatory and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Assist with invasive monitoring, hemodynamic support, and critical care interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
- Float to qualified ICU units when needed based on patient care demands
- Respond effectively to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced cardiac critical care environment
