- Unit Highlights: 10-bed pediatric cardiac ICU with advanced monitoring and support equipment, plus a strong multidisciplinary team
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2+ years of cardiac critical care experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- Experience with pediatric, congenital heart, or pediatric ICU patients preferred
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, organization, and a team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide expert pediatric nursing care for congenital cardiac patients in the CICU
- Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac patients, including those with chest tubes, inotropes, and vasopressors
- Support care for post-sternotomy and open-chest patients in a high-acuity critical care setting
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, cardiology providers, and the interdisciplinary pediatric healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate care
- Work effectively with advanced ICU equipment and contribute to evidence-based practice
- Maintain strong patient safety, documentation, and teamwork standards throughout night shifts
