• Orientation: 12 hours
• Float Requirement: Float within skillset, primarily within ICU
• Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 in critical care; higher ratios may apply when floated

Job Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Previous ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and stroke education/CEUs required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong critical care nursing skills with confidence caring for ventilated and high-acuity patients
• Ability to work 2 of 3 holidays as scheduled
• References required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be able to comply with all pre-start onboarding and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, post-operative patients, and cardiac/neuro/stroke populations
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as ordered and monitor patient response
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU interventions and procedures within scope and competency
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and support staffing needs while floating within ICU skillset
• Follow unit policies, safety standards, and infection prevention practices at all times
