- Schedule: Night shift with every-other-weekend coverage
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
- Orientation: 12 hours
- Work Environment: Short-term acute care hospital with a strong focus on behavioral health, emergency nursing, and patient safety
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience or closely related acute care experience
- Experience caring for psychiatric patients and medically complex patients
- Epic charting experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Ability to cross-train and work confidently in both the psychiatric ED and main ED
- Strong de-escalation, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable caring for pediatric and adult patients across the lifespan
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to psychiatric and medical emergency patients
- Perform assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring for patients with behavioral health and emergency needs
- Float between the psychiatric ED and main ED as patient volume and department needs require
- Support safe, efficient care for patients experiencing acute psychosis, suicidal ideation, overdose, trauma, stroke symptoms, seizures, and other emergency conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions per clinical guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary support teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold department standards for safety and quality care
