- Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- End Date: 02/22/2027
- Assignment Length: 22 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00pm - 7:00am
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Charting System: EPIC
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
- Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation; mandatory attendance required
- Floating: May float to age-appropriate Peds/PICU
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience
- Current Indiana RN license
- BLS certification from AHA
- NRP certification
- Strong neonatal critical care and patient care skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and maintain a consistent 36-hour weekly schedule
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Willingness to float to appropriate pediatric critical care areas as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care for neonatal patients in a NICU environment
- Monitor patient conditions closely and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with nursing standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
- Work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a calm, organized, and efficient approach in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Support families with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
- Follow unit protocols, safety procedures, and assignment expectations throughout the contract
