Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU, cardiac stepdown, or a similar intermediate care setting
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active New York RN license
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• License verification through NURSYS with all active RN licenses
• Updated resume with relevant bedside nursing experience
• Skills checklist matching the specialty and intermediate care nursing background
• Valid driver’s license with matching address information
• RTO must be included at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative needs
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, and cardiovascular stepdown conditions
• Care for patients using specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and related support devices
• Provide care for chronic ventilator patients with respiratory therapy support as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow in a 64-bed intermediate care environment
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining strong clinical standards, teamwork, and patient safety
