Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
• Current BLS certification
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring
• Confidence with wound care, drains, IV therapy, and post-surgical nursing care
• Ability to manage a diverse adult patient population in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, adaptability, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult Med/Surg patients with bariatric, plastics, wound, burn, and overflow needs
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with rapid response teams as needed
• Perform and support complex wound care, dressing changes, drain management, ostomy care, and post-operative assessments
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely, including blood products, heparin, insulin, and PCA support
• Support respiratory care interventions such as CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, oxygen delivery, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with mobility, patient safety, infection prevention, and patient education to promote recovery and discharge readiness
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver coordinated, compassionate care
