Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Travel Nurse Assignment in Bryson City, North Carolina

Join a collaborative, patient-focused medical-surgical team in Bryson City, NC, in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. This 13-week Med/Surg travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a 17-bed critical access hospital serving adult and older adult patients, with strong support from therapy, respiratory, lab, imaging, and 24-hour provider coverage.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience or equivalent acute care experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with PICC/CVC management, wound care, and medical-surgical patient care
• Ability to float between related Med-Surg and progressive care areas as needed
• Strong teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care in a Med/Surg travel nurse role
• Monitor patient status, administer treatments, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Manage PICC/CVC lines, perform wound care, and support individualized care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and providers to promote positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record using Paragon
• Support weekend rotation and unit needs as scheduled
