Experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse needed for a travel RN assignment in Clarkston, Washington (99403). Job Requirements

• Active Washington RN license required
• Experience in Med/Surg, PCU, telemetry, or acute care nursing preferred
• Ability to flex across departments as needed in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and isolation precautions
• Proficient in accurate nursing documentation and timely completion of physician orders
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical and progressive care unit patients
• Assess patient needs and provide education using effective teaching methods
• Maintain patient safety through preventive measures and appropriate restraint practices
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment used in PCU, telemetry, and Med/Surg areas
• Follow infection control standards and maintain standard precautions at all times
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and completely
• Ensure physician orders are completed in a timely manner
• Deliver thorough shift handoff reports and communicate clearly with the care team
• Report critical lab values promptly according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and unit resources
