Travel to Morristown, TN and join a Med/Surg Tele Float team supporting adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced East Tennessee healthcare setting. • Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend nights per 6-week schedule, plus 1 holiday shift
• Setting: Med/Surg Tele Float / Float Pool
• Charting System: Electronic charting experience required; Cerner experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred or obtainable after offer
• ACLS preferred
• Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and medical-surgical patient care
• Comfortable floating to MS/Tele, ER Holding, and possibly PCU/Stepdown based on skill set and unit need
• Strong clinical skills in IV management, oxygen therapy, dysrhythmia monitoring, and isolation precautions
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse in a float pool environment
• Monitor telemetry, identify rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IV access, and support a variety of medical and post-surgical needs
• Care for patients with COPD, diabetes, orthopedic conditions, and other complex medical diagnoses
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, wound care, line care, and other common Med/Surg interventions
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, professional, and compassionate approach
