- Unit Size: 16 beds
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent PCU, telemetry, or stroke nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry rhythms, and stroke patient care
- Comfort caring for patients with cardiac drips
- Ability to float to areas where competency has been demonstrated
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to PCU patients with a focus on telemetry and neuro/stroke needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer and manage cardiac drips as ordered
- Perform frequent assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe patient outcomes
- Use strong clinical judgment to prioritize care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Support unit flow and adapt to floating assignments within demonstrated competency
