Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent PCU, telemetry, or stroke nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry rhythms, and stroke patient care
• Comfort caring for patients with cardiac drips
• Ability to float to areas where competency has been demonstrated
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing to PCU patients with a focus on telemetry and neuro/stroke needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips as ordered
• Perform frequent assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe patient outcomes
• Use strong clinical judgment to prioritize care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Support unit flow and adapt to floating assignments within demonstrated competency
