- Floating: May float to Medical ICU and floor units
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required
- At least 1 year of recent ICU experience required; CVICU experience preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS, or ALS and BLS, required
- Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring experience required
- Experience managing pressors, positive inotropes, and pacemakers
- Ability to care for patients with chest tubes, pericardial drains, and post Cath/EP lab recovery needs
- Experience with frequent site assessments and close vital sign monitoring
- Charge nurse experience on night shift is a plus
- Comfort with open heart procedures and ECMO cannulation preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, team-oriented healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures
- Monitor hemodynamic status, telemetry rhythms, and ongoing clinical changes with precision
- Administer and titrate critical drips, including pressors and positive inotropes, per protocol
- Manage post-operative cardiac patients, including those with chest tubes and pericardial drains
- Support recovery for patients coming from Cath/EP lab procedures and other advanced interventions
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Perform frequent assessments, including site checks, vital signs, and rapid response to changes in condition
- Contribute to a culture focused on quality, patient experience, and dependable teamwork
- Float as needed to Medical ICU and floor units while maintaining flexibility and professionalism
