• Shift Options: Day or evening coverage; 4x12s may also be accepted

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Unit Census: 23 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Travel Requirement: Yes
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles of the facility

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or a compact RN license
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiac telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown nursing
• Recent acute care experience within the specialty is required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comfort caring for adult cardiac patients in a fast-paced intermediate care setting
• Willingness to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult cardiac and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ST segments, and dysrhythmias
• Care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker work, and electrophysiology interventions
• Manage cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and other therapeutic treatments as ordered
• Support patients with heart failure, cardiomyopathy, renal failure, and post-MI care
• Perform and manage invasive and non-invasive monitoring, including arterial lines, central lines, and telemetry systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective patient care
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding of cardiac conditions and recovery plans
• Participate in a team-driven environment focused on quality, safety, and excellent outcomes
