- Setting: Acute care hospital PCU with cardiac monitoring and a collaborative interdisciplinary care team
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care nursing skills preferred
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or experience preferred
- Team-oriented attitude with a positive, flexible approach to patient care
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage cardiac drips, and support patients with cardiac catheters
- Perform chest tube management, wound care, and TPN/lipid administration as needed
- Collaborate closely with charge nurses, nursing assistants, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Support a patient-centered, efficient, and positive care environment
