Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 15 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and as needed to fill schedule gaps
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation required
• Floating: May float to the medical-surgical unit as needed
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: Classroom orientation plus unit-based precepted shifts

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience caring for ventilated, sedated, and high-acuity patients
• Comfort with titrating drips and managing critical care medications
• Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline care, and tracheostomy patients
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday rotations

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients with complex and evolving needs
• Monitor and assess patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical conditions, trauma, cardiac concerns, and other critical care needs
• Administer and titrate critical care medications and IV drips as ordered
• Support ventilated patients and assist with respiratory equipment troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and collaborate closely with the care team
• Respond to changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in a critical care setting
