Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 15 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and as needed to fill schedule gaps
- Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation required
- Floating: May float to the medical-surgical unit as needed
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: Classroom orientation plus unit-based precepted shifts
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience caring for ventilated, sedated, and high-acuity patients
- Comfort with titrating drips and managing critical care medications
- Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline care, and tracheostomy patients
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday rotations
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients with complex and evolving needs
- Monitor and assess patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical conditions, trauma, cardiac concerns, and other critical care needs
- Administer and titrate critical care medications and IV drips as ordered
- Support ventilated patients and assist with respiratory equipment troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and collaborate closely with the care team
- Respond to changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in a critical care setting
