Job Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Med-Surg
• Setting: Acute care Medical/Surgical unit
• Location: Denton, Texas 76210
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Schedule: Rotating weekends required; self-scheduling allowed within reason
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 - $1,420
• EMR: Meditech experience preferred
• Healthcare Job Type: Travel RN, inpatient nursing, acute care nursing

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg nursing experience
• Active RN license
• Experience working in a fast-paced inpatient or hospital environment
• Ability to provide safe, reliable care for medical-surgical and post-surgical patients
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• Willingness to float to the medical unit and ER for med/surg hold support as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor patient conditions, implement care plans, and respond to changes in status
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and the broader care team to support unit flow
• Care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, excluding cardiac and open neuro cases
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit protocols
• Support safe patient care across the unit and provide assistance when floating is needed
• Bring a positive, team-focused attitude and readiness to jump in when needed
