• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with flexible daytime coverage and rotating schedule needs
• Call: Some call required, including evenings and weekends as needed
• EMR: EPIC
• Type: Travel nursing assignment

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Experience in PACU, post-anesthesia care, pre-op, post-op, or perioperative nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to float to a local affiliate campus to meet clinical needs
• Strong communication, organization, and professional demeanor
• Ortho total joint, spine, or sports medicine experience is a plus
• CAPA or CPAN certification preferred
• Must be comfortable working with a small, collaborative team and managing multiple assignments throughout the day

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality recovery care for post-operative patients in the PACU
• Support pre-op, PACU, and post-op workflows as patient needs and schedules change throughout the day
• Monitor patients with typical PACU ratios of 1-2 in recovery and 1 pre-op / 2-3 post-op Phase II
• Care for patients undergoing orthopedic, spine, pain management, and sports medicine procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth patient flow
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC and follow established unit standards
• Respond to call coverage requirements when assigned
• Deliver compassionate, organized, and efficient nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting
