• Setting: High-acuity Level II Trauma Center
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts (06:30 - 19:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900 - $2,000
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: May be required based on census
• Orientation: Included prior to start
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with MICU or similar critical care experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience using Epic charting required
• Strong background in adult critical care and high-acuity nursing
• Ability to work weekends and adapt to changing patient assignments
• Comfortable floating to telemetry as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients in a busy MICU
• Monitor and manage patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation
• Support care for patients with respiratory failure, shock states, multisystem organ failure, ARDS, DKA, CVA, and other critical conditions
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, IV sedation, and vasoactive drips as indicated
• Perform close hemodynamic monitoring, interpret ABGs, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Assist with bedside procedures, rapid response events, and code situations
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment
