- Location: Everett, Washington
- Setting: High-acuity Level II Trauma Center
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts (06:30 - 19:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900 - $2,000
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: May be required based on census
- Orientation: Included prior to start
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with MICU or similar critical care experience preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience using Epic charting required
- Strong background in adult critical care and high-acuity nursing
- Ability to work weekends and adapt to changing patient assignments
- Comfortable floating to telemetry as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to medically complex, critically ill patients in a busy MICU
- Monitor and manage patients requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation
- Support care for patients with respiratory failure, shock states, multisystem organ failure, ARDS, DKA, CVA, and other critical conditions
- Manage central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, IV sedation, and vasoactive drips as indicated
- Perform close hemodynamic monitoring, interpret ABGs, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with bedside procedures, rapid response events, and code situations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain accurate documentation and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment
