Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Critical Care Float position at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Critical Care Float pool covering Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Medical ICU/Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology ICU, and one mutually agreed Med-Surg unit
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2
• Weekend shifts required
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Additional travel experience beyond initial hospital preferred
• Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Work within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
• Scrubs of any color accepted; scrubs provided for OR personnel
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• RTO limited to 1 week maximum and cannot be requested during orientation week
• Local candidates accepted at standard rates
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role
• Prior UW staff must be separated from the facility for 18 months before returning as a traveler
• No block scheduling accommodations available
