Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Tyler, Texas, for an experienced L&D nurse ready to make an impact in a dynamic maternity unit.   • Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
  • Shift Duration: 12 hours
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,900
  • Unit Focus: Labor & Delivery / LDRP
  • Orientation: 24 hours onsite
  • Weekend Coverage: Required
  • Patient Ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Experience with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
  • Strong clinical knowledge in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Ability to work night shifts and support a fast-paced maternity and obstetric unit

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
  • Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk obstetric procedures
  • Provide medication administration, pain management support, and patient assessments
  • Support education for patients and families on labor, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, OB providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote excellent outcomes
