• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Unit Focus: Medical-surgical nursing with telemetry, oximetry, neurological, and stroke care

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
• Current Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with stroke, seizure, traumatic brain injury, and neurosurgical patients preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a 1:6 Med/Surg patient ratio

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Assess and monitor patients with neurological, stroke-related, medical, and surgical diagnoses
• Perform ongoing neurological assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support telemetry and pulse oximetry monitoring for early identification of patient needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to established protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote recovery and positive outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and evidence-based care throughout each shift
