Job Requirements

• Active Washington State RN license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience preferred; acute care or specialty experience preferred
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification within 12 months of hire
• TNCC certification within 12 months of hire
• PEARS certification within 12 months of hire
• Moderate sedation training within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter
• Strong critical thinking, crisis management, communication, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a safe, timely, and effective manner
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changing clinical needs
• Educate patients and families and document care accurately in the medical record
• Coordinate with physicians, clinicians, and support staff to promote positive patient outcomes
• May assist with charge nurse responsibilities, including staffing support and patient flow
• Follow infection control, safety, and professional practice standards at all times
• Maintain competency with ICU equipment and department-specific procedures
