• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Setting: Emergency Department in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center
• Patient Ratio: 1:3
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• Orientation: 36-40 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Strong experience managing a patient ratio of 1:3
• Experience with trauma-level care strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy ED
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with stroke, chest pain, trauma, STEMI, asthma, and other urgent conditions
• Manage dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, central line care, and ventilated patients as needed
• Support stroke-certified and trauma-level protocols with speed, accuracy, and sound clinical judgment
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain safe, efficient care delivery in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment
• Provide compassionate patient care while using strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
