- Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekly Hours: 36

- Setting: Emergency Department in a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
- Orientation: 36-40 hours
- Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Current Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Strong experience managing a patient ratio of 1:3
- Experience with trauma-level care strongly preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy ED
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with stroke, chest pain, trauma, STEMI, asthma, and other urgent conditions
- Manage dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, central line care, and ventilated patients as needed
- Support stroke-certified and trauma-level protocols with speed, accuracy, and sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain safe, efficient care delivery in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment
- Provide compassionate patient care while using strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
