Overview

This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced ER RN who is confident providing excellent patient care in a busy Emergency Department. The unit sees a broad mix of cases and offers exposure to standard emergency procedures, critical interventions, and a collaborative care model in a community healthcare setting.

• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift, every third weekend coverage as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840-$1,940
• Charting System: Meditech
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Communication System: Vocera
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Pre-Approved Time Off: One request
• Submission Note: Candidates should have required credentials in hand at time of submission

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Experience caring for a broad patient mix including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Strong skills in emergency assessment, triage, and rapid intervention
• Ability to manage dysrhythmias and interpret ABGs
• Experience with IV starts, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care
• Comfortable with procedural sedation, IV vasopressors, and isolation precautions
• Preferred: NIHSS and TNCC
• First-time travelers may be considered

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of ED conditions
• Support care for CVA, head injury, orthopedic trauma, near drowning, and other emergency diagnoses
• Perform standard ED procedures and assist with critical interventions
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation teams
• Document care clearly in the charting system and communicate effectively with the care team
• Maintain a calm, professional approach in a busy, high-acuity environment
