Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Active RN license required
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Experience caring for sick neonates in a Level III NICU setting
- Comfort working night shift in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Previous travel nurse experience is not required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality neonatal nursing care for infants in a Level III NICU
- Support patients requiring conventional ventilators, high frequency jet ventilators, high frequency oscillator support, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide therapy
- Monitor and care for infants with acuity levels ranging from 1:1 to 1:2, with occasional higher ratios in lower acuity situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the neonatal care team to deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care
- Float to the Well Baby Nursery as needed
- Maintain strong clinical observation, assessment, and intervention skills for complex neonatal cases
- Contribute to a supportive unit environment focused on excellent outcomes for newborns and families
