Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional post-anesthesia care for pediatric and adult patients. This PACU nursing job is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced recovery environment, values teamwork, and is confident managing a wide range of post-op procedures and recovery needs.

Job Details

• Position: PACU Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Oregon City, OR 97045
• Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• On-Call: Up to 100 hours per 4-week schedule
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of PACU or ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Strong experience with Epic or other electronic charting systems
• Comfortable caring for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced recovery room environment and float based on unit needs
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage and holiday rotation as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia nursing care for a diverse patient population
• Monitor and manage recovery from sedation, general anesthesia, local anesthesia, spinal, epidural, MAC, and nerve blocks
• Support airway management, pain control, dysrhythmia recognition, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer and monitor IV medications, blood products, and vasopressors per protocol
• Perform thorough assessments, discharge teaching, and follow-up coordination as appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, high-quality acute care and patient-centered support
• Float to other units or nearby facilities as needed to support patient care needs
