• Floating: May float between acute care areas and nearby facilities as needed
• Setting: Critical access hospital environment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or acute care nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted if applicable
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong comfort level caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to manage telemetry monitoring and recognize rhythm changes
• Experience with patient ratios in the 1:4-6 range preferred
• Flexibility to float and support multiple acute care units as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and provide reliable night-shift coverage

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality bedside care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and support therapies such as oxygen and non-invasive airway care
• Provide care for surgical, orthopedic, wound care, infection, and post-procedure patients
• Perform assessments, document accurately in Epic, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Assist with rapid response activation and escalation of care when needed
• Maintain a patient-focused, flexible approach while floating between assigned units
