Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
• At least 1 year of previous nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience preferred/required for this role
• At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities as needed
• Must be able to provide care in a fast-paced emergency care setting
• Candidates must have a clean licensure and background history

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in the Emergency Department
• Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay in the ER
• Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products as ordered
• Provide patient education, documentation, and ongoing evaluation of responses to care
• Support emergency nursing care across a full spectrum of patient acuity levels
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, timely, and effective treatment
• Step into charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a high-energy healthcare environment
