- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
- Schedule Notes: Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need; floating to other units may be required
- Orientation: 20 hours
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry nurse experience required; ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Strong Med/Surg and MS/Tele clinical skills in an inpatient acute care setting
- Experience caring for adult patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support common medical-surgical interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy services, pharmacy, phlebotomy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including respiratory conditions, heart failure, diabetes, infection, post-operative recovery, and more
- Support safe, evidence-based care for select intermediate-level patients as assigned
- Float to other units as needed based on facility needs
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and uphold a culture of teamwork, respect, and clinical excellence
