• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Shift: 12-hour evenings
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Rotating shifts with weekend and holiday requirements
• Orientation: Structured onboarding provided before assignment start
• EMR: Epic experience required within the past 2 years

Job Requirements

• Active New York RN license, or proof of license application submitted at time of packet
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency room, emergency department, or specialty RN experience required
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a busy community emergency department with changing census and patient acuity
• Comfort caring for adult and pediatric patients across a wide age range
• Reliable transportation is strongly recommended

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide variety of acute and emergent conditions
• Care for boarded patients, psychiatric patients, COVID patients, and other complex assignments as needed
• Start IVs, obtain EKGs, draw labs, and assist with emergency procedures
• Manage drips and provide respiratory treatments according to unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit protocols and safety standards
• Provide compassionate care to patients from neonate through geriatric age groups
