• Contract Duration: 8 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays
• Setting: LDRP environment with postpartum and newborn care

Labor & Delivery RN Job Requirements

• Active RN license and current BLS certification
• NRP certification and fetal monitoring training required
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
• Strong experience caring for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Ability to transition and assess newborns immediately after delivery
• Experience with fetal monitoring, inductions, and OB emergencies preferred
• Comfort with C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Monitor patients during inductions, labor progression, and delivery
• Assist with C-sections, assisted vaginal deliveries, and newborn transition care
• Recognize and respond to OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Support couplet care, newborn assessments, and ongoing patient education
• Maintain accurate documentation using clinical systems such as Meditech and CPN
• Participate in safety rounding and daily rounding on assigned patients
• Float within the facility as needed to support patient care
