• Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse / Travel RN
• Location: Lee's Summit, Missouri

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 preferred
• Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Unit Size: 18 beds
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Cert=RN
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Comfort working night shifts in a dynamic acute-care environment
• Ability to support monitored patients with changing clinical needs

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients with close monitoring needs
• Perform post-cath lab care and manage drip titrations as needed
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Use clinical equipment such as EKG and BiPAP in the delivery of patient care
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain strong clinical communication
• Help maintain a professional, team-oriented unit environment
