- Shift: 3x12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Floating: May float to like units and for care of like patients
- Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of stepdown, telemetry, or ICU nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Cerner PowerChart experience preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
- Experience managing a 1:4 patient ratio preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Must be comfortable floating based on facility needs
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiac, surgical, neuro, and medical conditions
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with RN standards and unit protocols
- Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, sepsis, pneumonia, DKA, stroke, and post-surgical needs
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and other support teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner PowerChart
- Support safe, efficient patient care while maintaining strong professional conduct
