Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years of Interventional Radiology or special procedures experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety practices
• Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule and provide reliable coverage as part of the healthcare team

Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Support Interventional Radiology and special radiographic procedures in an acute care environment
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist with safe, efficient care throughout the visit
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately during diagnostic and interventional cases
• Work closely with physicians, technologists, and the care team to maintain smooth procedural flow
• Follow established protocols for radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient safety
• Participate in on-call, holiday, weekend, and rotating coverage as needed to support the unit
