• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850-$1,940

• Orientation: 1 day / 8 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend as needed
• Holiday Requirement: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays, or 1 of 2 if the assignment spans only two holiday periods
• Floating: May float to other medical-surgical floors and related units as needed
• Charting: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license required; no license hits accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of recent registered nurse experience
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS certification preferred/required for stroke-focused care
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac, stroke, respiratory, and post-surgical patient care
• Strong clinical judgment in a high-acuity acute care environment
• Ability to adapt quickly and begin taking assignments after orientation
• Comfort floating to similar inpatient units when needed
• Ability to support an approximate patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry environment
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with cardiac disease, stroke, respiratory illness, CHF, COPD, sepsis, arrhythmias, and post-operative needs
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Support patients requiring IV therapy, oxygen management, wound care, and other medical-surgical interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote quality outcomes and efficient patient flow
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the care process
• Float to other units as needed based on facility demand and patient care needs
• Maintain professionalism in a tobacco-free and fragrance-free care environment
