- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment
- Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Start Date: September 2026
- End Date: December 2026
- EMR: Cerner
- Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4
- Setting: Level III NICU
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- At least 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Level III or higher NICU experience preferred; 2+ years strongly preferred
- NRP certification required
- STABLE and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with the care team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR
- Support family-centered care with professionalism and empathy
- Work with interdisciplinary staff to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float as needed to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby areas for babies only
- Adhere to unit standards, policies, and best practices for neonatal care
