- Setting: High-acuity ICU in a Level II trauma environment
- Documentation System: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
- ACLS and BLS required
- Strong experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to interpret ABGs and safely titrate vasoactive drips
- Experience with critical care equipment and complex patient management
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment
- Flexibility to float to ED or step-down as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 29-bed ICU
- Monitor and manage patients with complex respiratory and hemodynamic needs
- Perform and support critical care procedures including intubations, central line placement, bronchoscopy assistance, and bedside trach/PEG placement
- Titrate vasoactive drips and manage advanced therapies such as CRRT, Impella, IABP, and ECMO as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Adapt quickly to unit needs and float appropriately when required
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented presence while delivering compassionate critical care
