Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred
• Med/Surg, Neuro Med-Surg, or Progressive Care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to prioritize care, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced hospital unit
• Experience starting IVs, performing basic wound care, and managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered mindset
• Ability to work nights and participate in a rotating weekend schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate nursing care to patients and their families
• Perform bedside shift report and support strong patient/family communication
• Monitor and assess patients requiring Progressive Care and Neuro Med-Surg support
• Administer care using telemetry, pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and other unit equipment as needed
• Support safe and effective care planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Float as needed based on unit rotation and staffing priorities
• Follow unit guidelines while helping create a safe, respectful, and efficient care environment
