• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950-$2,060
• Setting: ICU / CVICU, 16-bed critical care unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Float Expectations: Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as needed

ICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Active RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment
• Strong clinical assessment skills with electronic charting experience preferred

Critical Care Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor, assess, and intervene for complex cardiac and medical ICU cases
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis, COPD exacerbation, stroke, trauma, respiratory failure, and post-surgical cardiac conditions
• Support patients requiring advanced therapies, including CRRT and related critical care interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to support safe, effective treatment plans
• Float to Intermediate Care or ED holding as needed based on unit needs
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a 1:2 patient ratio setting
• Utilize critical care equipment and documentation systems accurately and efficiently
