- Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 — a scenic destination known for outdoor recreation, beautiful lake and mountain views, and convenient access to nearby major cities.
- Start Date: 10/5/2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890
- Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Float Requirement: May float to IMC and ED as needed
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric med-surg and telemetry patients
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license
- ACLS certification required
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio with confidence and efficiency
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support patient progress
- Assess, document, and communicate patient status throughout the shift
- Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GI bleeding
- Support recovery for patients following total joint and other surgical procedures
- Float to related units as needed while maintaining a flexible, professional approach
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered, and team-oriented environment
