- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Float Expectations: Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and ED holding as needed
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in an ICU or CVICU setting
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
- Ability to care for high-acuity patients in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Experience with adult and geriatric critical care patients preferred
- Comfort working with common critical care diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis, COPD exacerbation, stroke, trauma, and respiratory failure
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and a multidisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/CVICU
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving clinical needs
- Administer medications, manage therapies, and support advanced cardiac and medical-surgical care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and care team members to coordinate safe and effective treatment
- Care for patients with complex conditions such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, overdose, and trauma
- Support CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR patient care as needed
- Float to intermediate care and ED holding when assigned
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain strong clinical standards
