- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, typically 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Schedule: 3x12s preferred; 4x12s may be considered
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Weekly Pay Estimate: $2,130 - $2,250
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Average Unit Census: Approximately 37 patients
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Job Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Active BLS certification required through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Minimum of 3+ years of recent hematology/oncology or BMT experience
- At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Level I or Level II trauma experience required, or experience in a similar high-acuity hospital setting
- Epic charting experience required
- Telemetry testing must be successfully completed prior to start
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and comfort managing complex patient care required
- Ability to float as needed in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with oncology, hematology, and stem cell transplant diagnoses
- Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and complex IV therapies safely and accurately
- Support patients undergoing bone marrow procedures, stem cell transplant care, and cellular therapies
- Complete comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and monitor for changes in patient condition
- Manage central lines and ports, including access, maintenance, and line care
- Interpret telemetry findings and promptly communicate abnormal rhythms or changes in status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, coordinated, evidence-based care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support best practices on the unit
- Educate and support patients and families through complex diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge planning
- Float as needed to support staffing needs across the care environment
