- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Unit Size: 30 beds
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Call: No on-call requirement
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday commitment
- Floating: May float to other units as needed
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Stroke experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Ability to work nights and support a fast-paced telemetry unit
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled telemetry nursing care for cardiac and stroke patients
- Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms, changes in condition, and evolving clinical needs
- Care for patients with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization needs, stroke, sepsis, and withdrawal-related diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate promptly with providers and clinical staff
- Adapt to floating assignments when needed and contribute to overall unit coverage
- Support a positive patient experience while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence in a hospital nursing environment
