Job Details

• Setting: Acute care orthopedic/telemetry unit
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends or every other weekend, depending on unit needs
• Holiday Requirement: Participation in the holiday rotation
• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Orientation: 1-2 shifts on the unit
• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent orthopedic nursing experience required
• Strong experience with total joint replacement care required
• BLS certification required
• Experience caring for orthopedic patients with joints, replacements, and fractures
• Comfort working in a busy med-surg/ortho environment
• Ability to work nights, rotating weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Flexibility to float to similar units when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from joint replacements and fracture care
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe, efficient patient recovery
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately in EPIC
• Support patient education related to mobility, recovery, and post-operative care
• Respond to changing patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Maintain patient safety and promote positive outcomes throughout the shift
